2010 Sapphire Ball – 50th Anniversary
Junior Mixer Event
Wednesday, September 22, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Table Forty4
610 Monroe Street (across from The Blarney)
If you’ve ever thought the Opera was for old people, then you’ve never been with this group. Several of Toledo’s most prestigious young professionals are having a pre-party of sorts – all in celebration of the Toledo Opera’s 50th Annual Sapphire Ball.
The free event, organized by the Sapphire Ball’s junior committee, caters towards Toledo’s 35-and-under crowd. Appetizers will be provided – and a signature Sapphire Ball drink will be unveiled and available at the cash bar.
And there’s more:
Opera tickets will be raffled off, as will two tickets to this year’s Sapphire Ball.
Several of the Sapphire Ball’s raffle and auction items will be on display – including a one-year lease on a Cadillac (courtesy of Taylor Cadillac).
Check out the top-notch evening wear with a fashion show provided by Sophie’s Sister. For guests age 35 and under, Sapphire Ball tickets will be available at a special rate of $175 each.
Thank you for your help spreading the word about this tremendous event hosted by the future business leaders of Toledo. We hope you’ll be able to join us.

Crowning Inspiration: Dessy Collection Bridesmaids
Today's brides are more considerate and stylish than ever when it comes to choosing their bridesmaid's dresses. We all know that the dress goes far beyond wedding day. And brides feel good knowing their girl's gowns can be worn again and enjoyed at other functions.
I found the perfect ONE STOP SHOPPING site for bridesmaids dresses called The Dessy Group! You can even order custom vests and ties for the groomsmen, matching gowns for the flower girls, purses and accessories right down to matching flip-flops for dancing!
Viola! Finally, an easy and accessible shopping site.
The dresses come in all styles, fabrics, designs and colors! Swatches are available.
For those of you who will be planning this weekend, this site is sure to have you hooked. If you create a board, be sure to share it on this blog or the Crowning Celebrations facebook page! We'd love to see your creative ideas!

Crowning Inspiration: Biodegradable Confetti
This Labor Day weekend Stephanie & Blake were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Joe's Sylvania Church. We bent the rules a bit with biodegradable confetti.
Guests tossed confetti pieces and groomsmen shot off confetti streamer guns. It made for a spectacular scene! Here is a sneak peak thanks to a guest.
Can't wait for the images from Decisive Moment.
If you are interested in biodegradable confetti, contact me for a discount!

Crowning Inspiration: EcoChic BlumeBox
Looking for a Green way to dress up your table? I love these Birch-inspired boxes from Blume Box. And they are only $2.99!!!
Line these boxes down your table for a linear look. Or space them apart and angle them off centered. Tie ribbons or bows around them for extra dimension. Or the 4" cube (their smallest size) can be used at each setting as place cards with your guest's names on them.

Crowning and Captivating: Running of the Brides, Cleveland, Ohio 2010
Things here in the Crowning Celebrations office are busy, busy! And I realized I have not posted more images from last weekend's Running of the Brides in Cleveland, Ohio!
Check out Kelly and Kathleen as they race alongside other
fabulous brides to find the perfect dress!
Yes, those are piles of wedding gowns - waist high!!!
Check out another "running team" in colored tulled tiaras!
Notice the race numbers "91711" - the bride's wedding day. Very cute!
Our Toledo Free Press Bride, Kathellen Reynolds with her team! As she purchased the dress, the cashier got on the PA and announced that "Kathleen found her wedding dress!" and everyone cheered!
Crowning Celebrations bride, Kelly Childress, and her bridesmaids found a beautiful white gown with a black sash and pearl and crystal broach for a steal! Love their shirts! Kelly and her girls then found their way to Saks' shoe department - a girl after my own heart! Congrats Kelly - can't wait for your wedding day!!!!
